Presenters Biographies

Patrick Guerra

Pat is Vice President of Supply Alliances at Ariba, Inc. Ariba is the leading provider of B2B Electronic Commerce Software for Operating Resource Management Goods and Services for the Enterprise. Most recently, Pat was Vice President of Corporate Supply Management for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a major, global Integrated Circuit Company. Pat has held numerous management positions at Hewlett Packard Company and AMD responsible for the following areas: Worldwide Procurement, Transportation, Customs and Licensing, Information Systems; Production Management; Materials Management; Software Product Marketing; and Worldwide Physical Distribution Operations Management. He has been an early adopter of eCommerce capabilities and tools.

Pat is a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS); Council of Logistics Management (CLM); the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME); and the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM). He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of NAPM Silicon Valley, the E. Commerce Advisory Board, University of Santa Clara, the Center for Logistics Management, University of Nevada, and the Education Strategies Committee of the Council of Logistics Management. Pat is a speaker at national and regional conferences and enjoys building organizations that achieve unusual results. He is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and holds a B.S. degree in Economics and MBA in Quantitative Methods from the University of Santa Clara.
