About This Conference
Integrated Enterprises are the wave of the future.
The EXPO is a fast-paced forum that brings people together to examine
various
aspects of enterprise integration. The conference offers the
opportunity to attend track and plenary sessions, a networking
reception and exhibits. This conference is targeted toward visionaries,
technical professionals, market developers, managers, elected
officials, business experts, decision makers and executives from
government and industry around the world.

Awards
AFEI Announces Excellence in Enterprise Integration Awards
The Association for Enterprise Integration will present the 2003
Excellence in Enterprise Integration Awards to the top government
and industry teams that have made significant advancements in Enterprise
Integration. The award winners will be selected based on the following
criteria:
- Innovation
- Strategic Effects
- Customer Value
- Operational Consequence
- Cultural Impact
Nominations for the Awards open on June 15. No nominations
will be accepted before that date. Nominations must be made electronically.
Nomination forms may be obtained e-mailing a request to Betsy Lauer
at AFEI (e-mail: [email protected]).
The request must contain the name, title, organization, phone number
of the person(s) who will
be
making
the award nomination, and the name(s), title (project title), and
organization(s) of the potential nominees. Nominations must be
limited to three pages or less. Completed nomination forms must
be submitted to Betsy Lauer by e-mail not later than July 30,
2003. Schedule
- Nominations open June 15, 2003
- Nominations close July 30, 2003
- Finalists notified August 30, 2003
- Awards ceremony September 24, 2003

2003 to receive the group rate of $150 single/double. Please reference
(AFEI) The Association For Enterprise Integration when reserving
your room. Rooms are limited! Reservations requests received after
5:00 p.m. local time at the Hotel on the cut-off date will be accepted
on a space and rate availability basis.
Tax: All room rates are subject to the 6.5% state and local tax.
Each registrant is responsible for making his or her own reservations.
Check-in is 3:00 pm; check-out is 12:00 noon.
Parking at the Sheraton Premiere, Tysons Corner is complementary.
Directions to Sheraton Hotel The hotel is 8 miles east of Dulles International Airport. It
is approximately 4.5 miles to the Dunn Loring Metro Station on
the orange line. There is limited shuttle transportation to/from
Tysons Corner Mall. Airport shuttle service is available. Check
with the hotel for details.
From Washington-Dulles International Airport
Take Airport Road to the Leesburg Pike (Route 7) exit.
Turn right at the first traffic light on Westwood Center Drive to the hotel.
From North
Take the Beltway (Interstate 495 South) to Exit 45A.
Take the Airport Toll Road (Route 267) to the Leesburg Pike Exit
(Route 7).
Turn left at the light and right at the next light on Westwood
Center Drive to the hotel.
From South
Take the Beltway (I-495 North) to Exit 45A.
Take the Airport Toll Road (Route 267) to the Leesburg Pike Exit
(Route 7).
Turn left at the light and right at the next light on Westwood

From East
Take Interstate 66 West to Washington/Dulles International
Airport.

All participants must register. Payment must be made at the time
of registration. AFEI accepts Diner's Club, MasterCard, VISA,

Foreign Payment
Registration fees must be paid by credit card
or by checks drawn on U.S. banks in U.S.
($) dollars. AFEI does not accept purchase
orders from foreign governments and will not invoice them for
payment.
Cancellations, Substitutions and Requests for
Refunds
All cancellations, substitutions, and requests
for refunds must be done so in writing. Substitutions
are welcome! Registrants
who are unable to attend the training must fax or email their
cancellation
or refund request to the attention of: Nicole Peterson at 703-247-9474
or [email protected]; on or before September 1, 2003. No refunds
will be issued for cancellations received after 5:00 PM EST
this date. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
A $75 administrative
fee will be applied to ALL cancellations received before September
1, 2003. If requesting a substitution, please indicate if payment
(if already received by AFEI) is to be transferred to the new
attendee, or refunded.
Identification Badges
Each attendee will be provided with an identification
badge during on-site registration. This badge
must be worn while
attending
all conference functions. ALL ATTENDEES MUST PRESENT A VALID
Government
(U.S. or Foreign) PICTURE I.D. (Driver's License, Passport),
when picking up their badge, or registering on-site. Conference
badges
are to be worn at all times during event. No badge = no access
to ANY event venues.
Attire (Uniform/Dress code)
The appropriate dress for this conference is
business casual.
