Joint and Coalition Interoperability for a Common Operating Picture

March 4-5, 2008
Grand Hyatt
2900 Bayport Dr
Tampa, FL 33607

In the global war on terror, information is more important than ever.  Getting the right information to the right people, at the right time is crucial. Information needs to be structured so it’s visible, available, usable, and therefore shareable at all levels.

At Warfighter’s Vision 2008, government and industry can begin to collaborate, cooperate and coordinate their efforts to create the network enabled operational support needed to provide the ability to visualize the battlefield; execute operational plans; prepare for future operations; protect and defend.  Together, we can make information a warfighting asset.

Providing communication support to the war-fighter in a joint /coalition environment leads our Combatant Commanders towards un-chartered and un-tested advancements in technology.  Many advancements have been made, yet the picture continues to be fuzzy. The burning question for operators continues to be sharing those advancements in a joint/coalition community, at the right security level, for a common operating picture.
