DoD Enterprise Architecture Achievement (DEAA) Awards


The Association for Enterprise Information announces the 2009 Defense Enterprise Architecture Achievement Awards program. The purpose of these awards is to recognize significant contributions and achievements in advancing the state of policy and practice of enterprise architecture as an enabler of information advantage for the Department of Defense. The DEAA award aligns with the strategic goals of the Deputy CIO leading the DoD enterprise to achieve an information advantage for its people and partners.

 About This Conference

This is the annual conference of the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer, Director of Enterprise Architecture and Standards on the DoD Architecture Framework and the practice of acrchitecture within the Department.

The conference reaches out to major commands, services DoD agencies, the intelligence community, OMB and other Federal Departments to present cross-cutting information on best practices as well as unparalleld networking opportunities for the enterprise architecture community.

    Purpose

    The purpose of this conference is to provide the DoD architecture community with a way to bridge the gap between architecture and programs and a tool to drive architecture into DoD organizations. The conference will also provide:

    • A framework for developing DoD EA community and industry partnership
    • A forum for updates on policy and practices
    • An opportunity to receive regular, cohesive feedback on OSD initiatives
    • An opportunity for discussion of tools methods and best practices
    • A partnership with industry to help make DoD architecture agile and effective
    • A platform for developing and conducting focused workshops between annual conferences that help accelerate implementation of architecture to support capability development

    The conference is sponsored by the Director of Architecture and Interoperability,
    Office of the Deputy CIO and hosted by the Association for Enterprise Integration (AFEI). By attending this conference you will:
