Phil Brotherton
Vice President of Marketing

Prior to joining Acta, Brotherton worked for Hewlett-Packard, most recently as worldwide marketing manager for HP's Communication Infrastructure Computing Operation. In this role, Brotherton was responsible for all aspects of marketing for specialized servers targeted at computer telephony and internet infrastructure applications. During his nine years at HP, Brotherton also led the development effort that resulted in the industry's highest performance enterprise NT server and led the worldwide product line planning organization for HP's industry-leading enterprise Unix servers and storage. Among other achievements at HP, Brotherton was selected into HP's Advanced Development Program for high potential managers and twice won the "Most Effective Speaker Award" for communication of strategy and positioning to HP's major enterprise customers and partners. Before HP, Brotherton held sales and engineering positions at Teledyne Inc. and Hughes Aircraft Corporation. He has a BSME from UC Santa Barbara and a MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
