ADDENDUM TO RESUME OF SERVICE CAREER
CURRENT OCCUPATION Logistics Management Specialist (GM-14), Directorate
of Transportation
and Troop Support, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for
Logistics, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Washington, DC
NATURE, SCOPE AND EXTENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish logistics policy, standards and procedures for management of
Class I (subsistence) to provide efficient, economical and safe food service
with nutritionally balanced meals to soldiers worldwide. Serve as proponent
for four Headquarters, Department of the Army regulations. Serve as the
functional proponent for a $225M base operations program which funds dining
facility operations worldwide. Coordinate policy issues with other Army
staff elements, other Department of Defense components and the Office
of the Secretary of Defense to ensure commands have appropriate legal,
fiscal and technical guidance. Perform staff and technical supervision
over the Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence, on operational aspects
of the Army Subsistence Program. As a registered dietitian, function as
the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics staff nutritionist. Present information
on troop feeding nutrition initiatives to the Army Health Promotion Council.
Serve as a member of the Health Promotion Council's Overweight Process
Action Team. Represent the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics on the
Army Nutrition Policy Committee and serve as the co-chair with the Surgeon
General's Chief Dietitian. Serve as liaison with the Office of the Surgeon
General on issues related to nutrition requirements for troop feeding.
Chair the Army Food Management Information System Configuration Control
Board. Serve as the Army representative on the Department of Defense Joint
Working Group for implementation of prime vendor (commercial) delivery
of subsistence worldwide. Appointed by the Secretary of the Army to the
Board for Correction of Military Records.
