 AFEI Updates Its Name

4/1/2009  - Arlington, VA

Recently decided by the Board of Directors, the Association for Enterprise Integration (AFEI) will be known as the Association for Enterprise Information.  This change reinforces the association’s focus on the importance of information to all enterprises.  AFEI plans to build awareness of the need for safe, fast, and more agile operations for generating, protecting and moving information.

In conjunction with the name change, the association has also updated the logo and website.  The AFEI acronym remains unchanged, and will continue to be used for all corporate materials.

Commenting on the announcement, AFEI President, David Chesebrough said, “This change is reflective of our long term commitment to understand the dissemination of information in the DoD and federal agencies.”

AFEI works on the most interesting and important information related issues facing enterprises today including:

  • Protecting the information of governments, busineses and citizens
  • Promoting the secure leveraging of national IT assets
  • Achieving a decision advantage through resilient technology
  • Advancing the best practices in information capabilities

AFEI (www.afei.org) is an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) (www.ndia.org), America’s leading defense industry association promoting national security, and will continue to benefit from NDIA’s commitment and experience in the defense arena.
