 Vendor Plugfest Participation

Vendor Participation Step-by-Step Guide

Vendor registrations for PX Environment has closed as of March 31st.
All other exhibits (Non-PX) open till April 24th.

 Step 1

Decide to Participate - Analyze Your Options

There are two ways companies can have displays in the Plugfest hall.  Keep in mind, however, that this is a technology demonstration, not a trade show exhibition, and priority is given to those companies participating in the Plugfest eXchange because of the hardwire Internet connections necessary for the PX.

To avoid ITAR issues participation in the Plugfest eXchange,
please visit the Info Page.

1. Participate in the Plugfest through the Plugfest eXchange.

Companies will first want to decide what products or services they will demonstrate through the PX.  This year DI2E web service access control is being extended to support RESTful services in addition to SOAP services. There is also a web single sign-on specification.  Companies can show how they are working  with these emerging security standards and demonstrate their ability to provide alignment to DI2E security capabilities to the DCGS and JIOC communities.

The main focus for this year’s DI2E Plugfest is demonstrating the ability for vendors to support the Content Discovery and Retrieval (CDR) specifications.  Companies can demonstrate products and services that can search, broker, and retrieve MultINT, and interoperate by leveraging open standards will satisfy a major operational need for the DI2E environment.

2. Have a table-top display in the Plugfest hall

The DI2E Plugfest welcomes into the Plugfest Hall companies want to have a display but NOT participate in the demonstrations and Plugfest eXchange. Companies providing, for example, consulting services and infrastructure capabilities can discuss how they support the DI2E operational environment and highlight their corporate capabilities to the Plugfest community.

Step 2

Download and complete the AFEI Plugfest Registration Form

DI2E Plugfest Vendor Registration Form which is a fillable PDF form may be downloaded and must be completed.  Please be sure information is clear and accurate and include signature.

PF Vendor Registration Form

The Plugfest registration form is required for all companies who want a presence in the Plugfest Hall.  Completion of the form and receipt of payment is the only way to guarantee your place.

Complete the Registration form and send to AFEI along with payment ([email protected]).

Companies participating in the Plugfest

The vendor showcase is first-come, first-served, and booth selections will be accommodated based on availability and receipt of payment to assure fairness in the process. Priority will be given to those vendors registering to participate in the Plugfest when assigning table locations due to the logistical setup in the Plugfest hall. A confirmation of payment will be sent in addition to a logistics form to indicate your  preferred locations; should none be chosen, one will be assigned.  A verified floorplan by Show Management and GMU for the vendor showcase will be made available to participating vendors to select up to (3) three booth options.  After the vendor registration closes booth selections will be then be assigned and notification will be sent to each vendor.

Companies
having a display in the Plugfest Hall

Companies not participating in Plugfest must complete the registration form, but do not complete steps 3 and 4 below.  A vendor kit will be made available with all pertinent display and logistics in formation necessary to set up your display.  Wireless Internet access will be available as a part of the display package.

Display Table locations will not be assigned until payment is received for registration, to assure fairness in the process.  A confirmation of payment will be sent along with a logistics form you may use to indicate your preferred locations.  Should none be chosen, one will be assigned for you. Your choice will be accommodated based on availability.    Priority will be given to those vendors registering to participate in the Plugfest when assigning table locations because of the necessity for hardwire Internet connections in the Plugfest Hall.

AFEI reserves the right to make changes to display table arrangement and Plugfest Hall design without prior notice.

The preliminary Plugfest Floor Plan is available for review.  The floor plan will be revised to accommodate both University and Plugfest requirements.  A verified floorplan is in porgress and should be ready by end of March.

Step 3

Complete the Plugfest eXchange (PX) Enrollment Form

All other forms will be sent to PX Administrators where you will receive the PX Vendor Packet for further details of the Plugfest participation. PX Point of Contact information is on the form.

Official DI2E Storefront Entry Through Plugfest

DI2E Plugfest vendors have the opportunity to submit their capabilities for entry into the official DI2E Storefront through their active participation in the DI2E Plugfest.  The DI2E Framework team will work with Plugfest vendors that desire to complete the asset submission form to achieve “Evaluation Level 0” which indicates that the capability is available, but not evaluated.  The DI2E Storefront provides a user-friendly and easy-to-use interface for the DI2E community to locate components that are relevant to improving the enterprise and meeting mission needs.

Step 4

Participate in Vendor Informational & Technology Reviews

Plugfest participants who have completed registration will be able to join a Vendor Plugfest Overview session as more information is created and shared in the PX environment.  Communication will be sent to RSVP for the meeting. Questions regarding the reviews, please contact Tammy Kicker at [email protected].

Important Note: Upon your DI2E Plugfest Registration being completed, the PX Admin team will hold a detailed Technical Review session. The dates will be sent to the registered participant. A completed Plugfest registration is necessary to receive an email communication on how to join the meeting.

Vendors will have opportunity to have one-on-one private technical discussions with a coordinator on the PX Admin team. These are setup between the company's technical team and the PX Admin.

The registration for DI2E Plugfest Vendor Showcase will now close on Monday, March 31, 2014 to assure adequate integration time is available to all vendors.

ITAR Restrictions

To assure compliance with ITAR rules and regulations, participation in the Plugfest eXchange is limited to U.S. Persons and Canadian companies registered in the Joint Certification Program.

International partners are welcome to attend the Plugfest and observe the demonstrations
