The conference focus is on how architecture delivers capability to the warfighter.
Tutorials, workshops and breakout sessions will be themed to address
- how architecture is delivering capability today in joint and coalition mission areas,
- what policy and governance initiatives are helping drive architecture across the enterprise, and
- what education, training and certification architects need to develop success-oriented competency and career paths that enable enetrprise architect capabilities.

The focus going forward is on getting value from architecture in delivering operational capability, making executive decisions based on analytical analyses, portfolio management and capability investment, infrastructure consolidation and efficiency, and the policies, governance and training necessary to grow architecture competency across the enterprise.
Participants will include DoD CIO, select Combatant Commands, Combat Support Agencies, Services, academia and industry.

Registration Policy
Please do not fax or mail any registrations after April 1, 2011. After this date, bring your registration form with you to the conference for onsite registration. Registrations will not be taken over the phone. Payment must be made at the time of registration. Seating for this event is limited, so register early to insure your participation.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received before February 11, 2011 will receive a full refund. Cancellation requests received between February 11 and March 23 will receive a refund minus a $75.00 transaction fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after March 23, 2011. Substitutions are welcome in lieu of cancellations. Substitutions and cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected].

2011 Defense Enterprise Architecture Award Program
Purpose:
The Department of Defense, in conjunction with the Association for Enterprise Information, announces the Defense Enterprise Architecture Achievement Awards program for 2011. This is the fourth year for the DEAA Awards Program. The purpose of these awards is to recognize significant contributions and achievements of individuals and organizations in advancing the state of policy and practice of enterprise architecture as an enabler of information advantage for the Department of Defense.
Nominations:
Nominations are submitted electronically using the Nomination Form. Forms may be obtained by e-mailing a request to Betsy Lauer ([email protected]). The request must contain the name and organization of the person(s) requesting the nomination. Nominations should apply to recent projects. Nominations in excess of three (3) pages long will not be considered (excluding contacts page).

Submission Deadline: January 26, 2011
Finalists notified: Week of February 25, 2011
Awards Ceremony: Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Hampton, Virginia
