The Call for Papers is out!

About the Conference
AFEI and the National Institute for Science, Space and Security Centers (NISSSC) at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs are presenting the first annual conference on Technology for Hope and Help.

Increasing concern over coordination and communication during a disaster response, made ever more poignant by the Chile and Haiti earthquakes, has focused greater attention on the need for technological solutions that provide hope and help.

This conference will bring together a wide array of leaders from government and private industry to explore challenges and solutions for sharing information in times of crisis.

The key question is how to best utilize the broad set of technological capabilities of both private sector and government to reduce suffering and save lives while increasing connectivity and interoperability.

This conference focuses on applying information technology to provide more effective coordination and communication amongst responders in disaster and emergency situations.  Stakeholders at all levels of government, the private sector, public health and related professions will meet to exchange ideas on information sharing and collaboration.

Senior level keynote speakers and panel members are expected to attend to discuss this critical topic.

This is the only conference of its kind that brings together a cross-section of the responder community to specifically address information sharing and interoperability issues at all levels of response.
