DSDM and Agile PM Training Workshop

Instructor: Steve Messenger, Chairman, DSDM Consortium

This workshop is an introduction to the Dynamic Systems Development Methodology (DSDM), the DSDM Agile Project Framework, and the Agile Project Management Organization.  DSDM is a proven framework for agile project management and delivery. It concentrates on strategic goals and incremental delivery of real business benefits.  It focuses on outcome while controlling cost schedule, risk and quality.  Topics covered include:

  • Agile Project Management and SCRUM
  • Integrating UX design into an agile project
  • The PMO and Governance
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Requirements Prioritization
  • Maintaining Quality
  • Estimating
  • Managing Transition
  • Scaling and Portfolio Management

DSDM is an iterative and incremental approach that embraces principles of Agile development, including continuous user/customer involvement.

The DSDM Consortium was first launched in 1995 and the DSDM Consortium is one of the signers of the Agile Manifesto.  DSDM grew out of PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments, version 2), the program management methodology developed by and until recently owned by the U.K. government and brought much needed discipline to Rapid Application Development.

Attendees receive a set of DSDM pocket guidebooks and other course materials, along with information on how to arrange more in-depth training for teams.
